Just about everyone has burnt or heard of votives, tea lights, and container candles. If you love those then you are really going to love wax melts. They are heated via an unscented tea light or with electricity.
Melts are small, wickless pieces of wax that you burn in a melter, which is heated by either an unscented tea light or electricity. If you are looking for the perfect long lasting scent to go with your candle glow, melts are the way for you.

Why would you want to try these lovely candles? Melts are much longer lasting in scent and life than tea lights or votives. They are less expensive as well. You get the glow of the candle light from the melter using an unscented tea light and use the melt to fragrance the home. The larger wax pool they create allows them to last much longer and be reused more often than other candles. Not to mention the smell is much better. When the fragrance is finally gone, just pop out the old melt and stick in a new one. It is that easy! These are a bonus for those who have such a hard time with choosing fragrances. You will be able to try a huge variety of different scents and combination of scents for less money!

Are you the kind of person who likes to burn more than one fragrance at a time? Then these are definitely the candles for you. Candle melts give you the at home advantage of custom making your own fragrances. You can choose from all kinds of fun fragrances and then put them together in the melter at whatever concentrations you decide work best for you! You imagination is your only limit on possible combinations.

If you are into candle home décor then melts are a must for all your decorative needs. They come in all possible shapes, sizes and designs. From tarts, circles, fruit shapes, veggies, and holiday delights, you can find them in a melt for you. Like to take your favorite scents to work with you for the office but not allowed to use fire? Get the electric wax melter and viola your scent can come with you to work too! Once you try candle melts you will be in heaven.

Timeless Candles PageRank Soars in First Months Online

Sherwood, OR, October 4, 2006

Timeless Candles, an online candle retailer, announced today that it has seen its reputation in Google soar in just the first 10 weeks of businesses.

According to Kelly McAwley, Timeless Candles’ Webmaster, “Very well respected people in the internet marketing industry are commenting on our successes, which is great, but it’s even better to see that a search engine like Google acknowledges the work we’ve been doing.”

In the recent PageRank update done by Google Timeless Candles saw its page rank jump from zeroes across most of its pages to threes and fours. Google has said that its PageRank tool bar is for entertainment purposes only, but a brief review of sites on this 1 – 10 scale is enough to demonstrate that while it may only be an imprecise barometer for actual page rank it is nevertheless telling.

Timeless Candles plans to go on building its authority until it is the number one ranked site for numerous search terms. McAwley said, “What we would really like, of course, is to be ranked number one for terms like, candles and candle holders, but for the moment we are very pleased to be ranked third for WoodWick Candle.”

Timeless Candles is an online retailer of jar candles, votives, tealights, wax melts and more. To visit the Timeless Candles store go to http://www.timelesscandles.com

Fall in to the Perfect Mood with Candles

Posted in Aroma Therapy, WoodWick Candles, Articles, All Press Releases at 6:53 am by press

It’s here. Fall has arrived, and with it comes cooler air providing relief from those record-breaking temperatures that gripped so much of the country this past summer. It doesn’t take more than a few cool nights in a row to remind us that one of the things we love about this season is burning candles. This fall we can set the perfect mood by choosing the right aroma.

Before we consider color or sound let’s talk about aroma. The scents we smell around us have a profound effect on what we feel. Depending on the scent you choose, candles can change your mood. You may find yourself feeling energized, romantic, motivated, relaxed or a number of other states.

When choosing candles to burn during this season consider what fall means to you. For some of us, we have never lost the energy we felt about fall as children. There’s a change in the air from the final stagnant hot days of summer to a crisp alive sensation. Halloween is on it’s way and there is a palpable excitement in the air. If this sounds like you, you can enhance that mood by choosing spice-scented candles. Some spicy candle “flavors” include cinnamon chai, ginger bread and spiced plum.

For others, fall is about warmth; sharing time with friends and family; and eating good food. If this is your idea of a perfect fall you can choose candles that warm these crisp fall days. Luckily, these days there’s no shortage of yummy food scented candles. What comes immediately to mind in this category is vanilla bean, rum raisin, caramel, and of course pumpkin butter.

Perhaps you are looking for neither the excitement of fall nor the warmth, but rather you are like many who find fall a time of deep reflection. This comes as no surprise and may even have deep ancestral roots. Traditionally fall is a time for harvest and setting in stores for the winter. Though the world of spring planting, summer care and fall harvest are distant to many of us it is impossible to shake those natural rhythms, but then again who wants to. There is something comforting in that state of being so why not encourage it. If when you’re ready to sit back and reflect this fall, you want to set an air of clarity consider scents like apple wood, juniper, or fireside. If, on the other hand, you want to reflect with smoother and mellower scents consider coffee scented candles like amaretto latte, and in another room light a biscotti scented candle.

Whether you are the excited type, the warm, family friendly type or the reflective type, this fall you can further accentuate the mood you’re creating by adding the sound of a crackling fire. Don’t have a fireplace? With WoodWick Candles, that’s no longer a problem. If you have never lit, or even heard of a WoodWick Candle you probably will soon. The beauty of these candles is that they have an organic wooden wick that sounds like the popping crackle of a fire. So, go ahead - light a candle, and create your perfect fall day.

Timeless Candles on Fire for WoodWick Candles

Portland, OR, September 27, 2006

Timeless Candles is pouring its marketing efforts into WoodWick Candles with great results.

Throughout the summer, Timeless Candles (TC) evaluated a number of candle products to add to its offerings. In early August, the determination was made to go with WoodWick Candles. Having set its sights on promoting this Old Virginia Candle Company product, TC designed an online marketing program to grab high rankings in the search engines.

Timeless Candles Webmaster Kelly McAwley stated, “Our optimization efforts have really paid off. Six weeks ago we weren’t even online with this product, today we rank fifth in Google for “WoodWick Candles”.

Timeless Candles has also obtained page one ranking for the term WoodWick Candles in both MSN and Yahoo. The team at TC intends to keep the marketing pressure up for their new favorite candle over the coming months.

Mary Richardson the site’s founder said “I’d like to have the number one spot in every search engine for these candles.” Richardson added, “This is the first time that I know of recently where a third dimension has been added to the experience of candles. We’ve had colorful, scent filled candles for years, but WoodWicks allow a third sense to be involved in the experience of burning candles.”

WoodWick candles sound like a crackling fire when they burn. Their name comes from the wooden wick, which is made of organic wood.

Timeless Candles sells candle holders, floating candles, pillars, jar candles and more.

Timeless Candles grand opening joins innovative funding initiatives to support breast cancer research.

Sherwood, OR, June 30, 2006 — Around the country innovative funding initiatives are popping up to support breast cancer research. In Waterloo IA, it’s the “Pink Ribbon Golf Classic.” In Jacksonville Fl, it’s the “26.2 with Donna.” In Knoxville Tn, it’s the “BMW Ultimate Drive.” And, for one week, across the internet, it’s the Timeless Candles Grand Opening.

The Pink Ribbon Golf Classic in Waterloo Ia, anticipates 144 participants will come out and turn the greens pink for their annual fundraiser. Gearing up for 2008 the Donna Hicken Foundation is teaming up with the Mayo Clinic to hold the first ever marathon specifically to support breast cancer research. And, when Jane Tomlinson, mother of three, who has advanced metastic breast cancer, cycles from the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco to New York she will have ridden 4,200 miles to raise funds and awareness about cancer.

Meanwhile, co-owner of Timeless Candles Mary Richardson says, “We think all the innovation is really fabulous, and we’re also aware that not everyone can run a marathon or participate in a golf classic, and not all BMW dealerships offer a BMW Ultimate Drive.” Richardson went on to say, “We want to be part of the solution, so we decided to make it easy and painless for one week for anyone across the country to contribute to breast cancer research. Buy candles during our grand opening and we will give 100% of the profit to breast cancer research. We’ll even give the first 100 people to buy our candles a complementary pink ribbon.”

Richardson pointed out that according to the American Cancer Society there are currently about 3 million women living with breast cancer in America and that one third of them don’t even know they have cancer. She also pointed out that unless things change nearly 205,000 women will die from breast cancer in the next five years.

“My dream would be that on the one week anniversary of our opening, Friday July 7th, people all across America would light a candle they bought from Timeless Candles in support of finding a cure for breast cancer,” Richardson said.

About Breast Cancer:
It’s the second leading cause of cancer death among women in US, and is responsible for nearly 40,970 deaths yearly. About 3 million women are estimated to have breast cancer, but nearly one-third do not know it. Risk factors include: not having children, or not having children until later in life, daily alcohol consumption, hormone replacement therapy, obesity after menopause, and family history of breast or ovarian cancer. Known protective factors include: breast-feeding and physical activity.

Timeless Candles shares the factors that it believes will allow it to gross ten million dollars in it’s first year of operation.

Sherwood OR, June 14, 2006 — What does it take to go from zero to 10 million in only one year on the Internet? The owners of Timeless Candles think they know the answers.

Co-owner Mary Richardson believes the store’s success will be in it’s philosophy, “At Timeless Candles the single most important question we ask is, How may we brighten your day today?” Richardson explains, “Trying to answer this question before we ever opened for business inspired us to donate the profits from our first week in business to help in the fight to prevent breast cancer. It lead us to create the first educational podcast on candles. And, it inspires us every day to find new and improved ways of serving the individuals who come in contact with Timeless Candles.

The company is leaving nothing to chance. Early on Timeless Candles decided that how product reaches customers is just as important as what reaches them. According to operations manager, Kevin Hodsdon, “Our company is striving to be an environmentally friendly candle store. When choosing packaging material we looked for solutions that were both environmentally friendly and affordable.”

The company’s webmaster, Kelly McCawley, offers his own reason for predicting the company’s future success. “Frankly, our site is leaving nothing to chance. I’ve personally spent hundreds of hours researching every detail of the site’s components from its shopping cart to its podcast and blog.”

Though it is not a publicly traded company, company officials have decided that at the end of their first year in business they will make a public announcement regarding their predicted success and the exact amount of their gross revenue.

Breast Cancer Research to Receive Candle Company’s First Week Profits

At Timeless Candles company owners have committed all profits from the first week of business to help in the effort to find a cure for breast cancer.

Sherwood, OR June 7, 2006 — There may be nothing new about companies giving money to good causes, but a new candle company is making it such a high priority that company owners plan to spend their first week in business just making money to give away to breast cancer research. From a profit-taking standpoint, the decision may not make much sense, but the individuals at Timeless Candles believe that there are more important things in life than squeezing every possible cent of profit from what they do.

When co-owner Mary Richardson was asked why the company is donating all first week profits to finding a cure for breast cancer she replied, “We’re about family and friends. If you’re not providing value to your customers and employees, if you’re not giving back to the community, what’s the point of being in business at all?”

American companies have a solid history of giving to charity. In fact, according to a report published earlier this year by The Conference Board, giving by US companies added up to $6.29 billion in 2004. While it is not yet known how much money was given to charities in 2005, the 2004 figure was up significantly from 2003. Typically, the giving of larger companies with foundations is more closely tracked than that of small companies, however, a study conducted by the Better Business Bureau Wise Giving Alliance found that 91% of small businesses in the US support charities to some extent

About where they came up with the idea of giving away 100% of their first week profits to breast cancer research Richardson has said, “Anita Roddick, the founder of the Body Shop, is a personal heroine of mine. We’ve also been inspired by the work of other great philanthropic companies like Newman’s Own and Give Something Back, both of which give 100% of their profits to charity.” Richardson stated, “We can’t do this every day of our business, but we hope this is just the beginning and we see it as the first step to a permanent program of giving back.” Asked if she would like to see more online companies working in similar ways Richardson responded, “You bet. We would love it if we started seeing more and more companies coming up with creative ways to do good works through their businesses.”

Individuals interested in helping Timeless Candles raise money for breast cancer research can spread the word to family and friends by e-mailing them this link: http://www.timelesscandles.com, and letting them know that all proceeds from the first week, from June 30th through July 7th, will be donated to help fight breast cancer.

Sherwood, Or, May 29, 2006 — With the launch of its Memorial Day themed podcast, Timeless Candles shows that it’s on the cutting edge of where business communications is headed, and that it plans to stay there.

Paul Colligan, www.paulcolligan.com, the author of the soon to be released Business Podcast Bible and the creator of www.123PodcastLaunch.com said “Personally, I think the angle that the Timeless Candles people are taking is more than interesting, it’s brilliant - building buzz for the site from the Podcast. Imagine hearing 9 episodes of something before you can even possibly visit the sales site.”

Timeless Candles, which won’t open its doors for business until June 30th, is already demonstrating that it intends to be an industry leader when it comes to added value service and utilizing cutting edge technology.

According to Timeless Candles’ webmaster Kelly McAwley, “I love cutting edge communications and I knew that this was an opportunity for us to be on the leading edge of business communications.” He added, “It’s not often that a small business startup gets a chance like this.”

Not everyone at Timeless Candles is sold on the technology side of the podcasts, “Really, I couldn’t care less about all this cutting edge stuff,” said Mary Richardson co-owner of Timeless Candles. “I just love candles and I know there are a whole lot of other women, and maybe some men too, who also love them.” Richardson went on to say: “When you think about it, candles actually do play a prominent role in our lives. Whether it’s Memorial Day here in the United States or Dia del Muerto down in Mexico, celebrating a wedding or a special family holiday meal, candles are an integral part in how we express our pain and joy - which is a pretty unique function of candles.”

Back on the use of podcasts McAwley went on to say: “I knew the podcast would be a fun experiment, but what I couldn’t really predict was how well the podcasts would be received. I am actually thrilled by Mr. Colligan’s response. And, while she might not care about cutting edge technology, I know that Mary’s pleased by the number of people who have been contacting her to comment on the candle information she’s sharing.”

Selling, votives, pillars, tea lights and candle holders, the company will officially launch their candles web store on June 30, 2006. In the meantime, anyone interested in this hot new Internet startup can sign up at Timeless Candles, to receive pre-launch updates.
